Pure Counselling Therapy

I provide a safe, confidential, non-judgemental  space, where  you  can

unpack issues and feelings, find respite and relief; whilst working towards a positive outcome. I offer warmth, empathy and understanding and put clients at ease.

Together with my skills and experience plus your willingness to engage in the process, we can take down walls, unlock the past, relieve trauma, rebuild self esteem, work through loss and bereavement, address disorders, build bridges, explore relationships, overcome depression, work to change unwanted beliefs, thoughts and behaviours... We can work together to find a way through your difficulties to a brighter tomorrow.

                                                   ABOUT ME

Through my own life experiences, I know first-hand the benefits and changes counselling brings about.  I understand some of how you might be feeling now.  With the support of a counsellor, I learnt a tremendous amount 'about me' and became passionate about counselling.

I embarked on training as a counsellor and wanted to be the best I could be, to help others in the way I'd been helped.  It was a personal achievement to gain a place at the University of Nottingham and subsequently the M.A. in Counselling.

Now, with over 15 years extensive experience as a counsellor and psychotherapist, I’ve had the privilege of working with a diversity of clients, who have brought a vast range of issues. I undertake regular additional training on numerous  topics. This furthers my professional development for the benefit of all my clients.

I’m an Integrative Counsellor, which means I use elements from different therapeutic models as appropriate to meet your unique needs. My foundation training is Person Centred.  I am also a qualified Clinical Supervisor.

I believe that answers to our problems lie within us and we have the ability to heal and bring about change within the therapeutic relationship built between a client and their counsellor. Prescribed chemical medication can ease some of our symptoms in the short term, but if the causes of problems aren’t addressed, they can continue to impact on our lives indefinitely.
